To be ever so slightly annoyed with DH as he has just announced he wants to move...

...and then just walks back into his office and carries on working?

It truly is a bombshell!! He is off to LA this afternoon for 4 days of work and 6 days on holiday riding around the US on a motorbike. We were just discussing that he might be accidently leaving his clothes in hotel rooms as he seem to have mislaid a few things when he says he wants to move to High Wycombe (where his office is)...out of the blue!

We are just outside of Wincheser atm and I love it here! The boys and I are very happy here, all 3 boys very happy at their schools and nursery and I ahve made loads of fab friends here. I don't want to move..and nor will the children!

He knows that!

BTW, it was his choice to move here 3 years ago from London. We could have moved nearer to HW, but he decided here was nicer! Now he wants to be nearer to work!

If you don't want to move and nor do your children, why will his vote automatically outweigh yours? It is a hell of a commute to his job if he had to go into the office every day but, from your comment about walking back into his office, I presume he works from home a lot?

tell him you dont want to uproot and start again, after having done that when u moved from london.
tell him maybe when the kids have finished schools?

Don't move then, simple really.

Tell your dh he's not the most important person in the house.

warthog · 12/01/2009 14:33

just say NO

TheCrackFox · 12/01/2009 14:35

Don't move. It will almost be impossible to sell your house in this financial climate anyway.

Squirdle · 12/01/2009 14:39

Oh I'm definately not moving! No way! Anyway, DS1 is in yr 10 and doing his GCSE's atm, and has the chance to go to a fabulous 6th form college!

He doesn't work at home an awful lot, b ut he can sometimes. Yes it is a long way to HW, but it was his choice at the end of the day! He normally works all over the SE etc anyway.

Gotta go and pick up DS1 now and go to the orthodontitst, but will be back later.
