She just said, 'Mummy? Because you love me, can I use your handbag tomorrow?'

Its my bestest handbag and she wants to use it for school! (When I say bestest, it cost a whole £10 in Peacocks, so we're not talking Louis V or anything!)

I replied, 'well, there are jobs to be done, before you go to bed.' and gave her a list! The she asked what was for dinner and I told her, whatever she wants to prepare!

Not too unreasonable is it? She is 13, afterall!

Don't do it! My dd (13 on Sunday) borrowed my favourite red velvet scarf as part of a costume for her drama assessment - and she's been wearing it ever since!

OH, Let her!!!!

It will all change soon I bet!

My neice visited me for a few weeks this summer, and she was mortally embarassed to have to hold my handbag for one minute.

She is 14.

Yeah Yeah

Just wait till she makes you a Granny, worse still a MIL

Then you will be fuddyduddy, bet you will have aprons, and curlers and those granny slippers!

Hides all afore mentioned things behind desk.

MoMoMoMeeeeryChristmas · 18/12/2008 19:21

la la la la la la! Not listening!

Actually, I love my slippers and my 18 year old M&S dressing gown!

PMSL

You know becoming a MIL made me feel much older than becoming a Granny

MoMoMoMeeeeryChristmas · 18/12/2008 19:26

I'm very hopefully that either of these milestones, are at least 15 years away!

1.Hows the new pad?

New Pad is being painted, move in on the 9th (so spending Christmas chucking out 8 yeras of clutter from this one before packers arrive on the 8th)

2.When are you giving all the CMing up?

CM will be finishing last day of school year, will keep going till then.

3.What you doing for Christmas?

See answer 1.

4.Do you finish tomorrow?

12.00 yayyyyyyyyyyyy

5.When does DH retire?

Officially out 09.09.09, but has loads of leave/resettlement to take, so is hoping to start new job in April, he will go and rent a house in Swindon, I will follow in July, the start looking for a place to buy.

MoMoMoMeeeeryChristmas · 18/12/2008 19:53

Oh, busy and very exciting times for 2009 then!

I have been totally liberated, giving up CMing. I'm so glad I did it.
