I mean really. I have a cold but I feel ridiculously sorry for myself and I just want a cuddle and to be looked after a bit. I thought I was supposed to be supermum and all that. Is it because I work and DH looks after baby? Am I a freak of nature? Snot fair.

I have man flu too. it's obviously not real flu but I feel loads shiter than I normally do with a cold. so I decided it must be man flu. maybe we've been harsh all these years and there really is such a thing...

In contrast, I have Woman-flu (and it's all woman..w..o..m..a..n) which as we all know involves spending the hours of 2am-5am on the sofa under a blanket (too hot to sleep in the bed) sipping lemsip and reading trashy romances while compulsively taking my temperature every 15 minutes. Maxed out at 38.6 C, but am now in work and contemplating the joys of supper and bed for the DSs while DH packs his bag to go to the US tomorrow for a week.

Oh God, I hope I get better soon

Me too. . .both Dh and Ds have had it and are recovering but I feel shit. Really bad.

Dh is beginning to lose patience with me and I won't be able to accuse him of man flu for a long time.

TBH I do feel a bit better today but the weekend was hell.

be careful anyone that has asthma i had this man flu start fri took lemsips like u do but cough got worse finally went to gps today and got told i got the start of brohchial pnuemonia so on huge doses of steroids now it is awful just a word of warning
