Welsh Cakes?

I feel like a young girl new to the town of Forks who meets a toasted welsh cake dripping with butter and finds it irresistible.

I am slightly worried by how irresistible they are and am not at all sure they can be entirely good for me....

Ooh, I am curious now, having never had one.

Yanbu.

Most bakery products are worthy of great love.

I'm combining my two new loves Twilight and Welsh cakes...this is very nearly a perfect day

My welsh nan used to make lovely welsh cakes, but they are easy and quick to make. M&S are worthy as well

Ronaldinhio · 09/12/2008 14:00

Seems strange that I would get to this age without so much as a sniff of them.

I've eaten 4 today!!

are they like tea cakes?

are they raiseny?(sp?)

pamelat · 09/12/2008 14:06

Oh I don't like them, too sweet.

However, I am currently enjoying (very much) lemon drizzle cake, yum yum.

Ronaldinhio · 09/12/2008 14:06

they are like little flat scones with raisins and covered in suger...perhaps some nutmeg

anyway

Oooh, just realised Pamelat has lemon drizzle cake, yummy, would be a close call tbh!

MrsSeanBean · 09/12/2008 14:10

However, YABU to have fallen in love. They won't satisfy you for long.

i think wales might be a good place to start

FfreckleFfairyOnTopOfTheTree · 09/12/2008 14:37

Deeeeeeeeeelicious.

I am always a fan of a cake you can spread butter on. I am Welsh, and make a passable Welsh cake...what would the benefits be of being kidnapped by you, Ronaldinhio?

Ronaldinhio · 09/12/2008 14:48

mmmm

I can offer strolls by the sea with a ridiculously long dog?

Where can I bundle you into my car?

OP posts:
FfreckleFfairyOnTopOfTheTree · 09/12/2008 15:08

Smashing. It'll be a nice change to walks in the countryside with two ridiculously muddy dogs.

I will be wandering around Oxfordshire an undisclosed location, forgetting everything my mummy taught me about not getting into a car with a stranger.

I love Jeremy Clarkson and Ian Hislop - I would be happy if it were just welsh cakes!

Ronaldinhio · 09/12/2008 15:28

sort of agree with you again

They're great. We've got friends in Wales and I overdose on them when we visit.
