YANBU for being depressed after reading them as some aent very nice but you can prevent that by not reading them!

harleyd · 20/11/2008 14:54

sisterhood? omg lol
sorry, you're a little oversensitive

CountessDracula · 20/11/2008 14:55

You must be easily depressed

southeastastra · 20/11/2008 14:55

people put serious conversations in there when they shouldn't iykwim.

i remember one poster last week who only looked at one topic and aibu

IwishIwasamermaid · 20/11/2008 14:56

But surely that is the point of AIBU?? You ask a question and people give you their honest opinion, whether its what you want to hear or not.

pingping · 20/11/2008 14:57

PMSL at sisterhood

YABU move off the thread onto chat or try Netmums

MmeLindt · 20/11/2008 14:58

I always come away from the AIBU feeling blessed that I have not got a loony MIL/PIL/SIL/midwife etc.

And quite often laughing my head off.

YABU

nickytwotimes · 20/11/2008 14:59

aibu is NOT the place for help and support.
There are plenty other areas of mn where you will find it though.

IAteMakkaPakka · 20/11/2008 15:02

AIBU is there for people who want to get an opinion (and should be prepared for it). If someone just wants a pat on the back they can go elsewhere on MN to ask for it.

AIBU makes better people of us

AMumInScotland · 20/11/2008 15:02

I tend to find them annoying rather than depressing, but I usually just hide the whole section as I don't want to get drawn into them... If you find them problematic, the best option is to stay away, and hide the topic if even the titles bring you down. As other have said, it's not MN showing it's best traits

webtastic · 20/11/2008 15:03

Seriously, guys. I think it's probably because i have just started my period. I haven't actually opened any threads today. I read the titles, and that was enough for be to get a blinding headache. Think I will take your advice pingpong and fuck off out off out of here.

Perhaps come I will come back anotherday.

I'm bound to get the usual 'don't bother' reply. Yawn

webtastic, chill out!

Like all forums, you can choose to avoid things that you don't want to read. Sorry you're not feeling good - perhaps some chocolate and a cuppa would help?

southeastastra · 20/11/2008 15:07

@ the try netmums comment

pagwatch · 20/11/2008 15:08

web
seriously.
Don't look on AIBU. Go to some ofthe nicer topics and relax a bit.

There are lots of nice people on here. You have just gone to the home of the loon..
