It happened at ds2 1st birthday party this afternoon! Don't think anyone notice except dh who told when I was in the kitchen making teas! Or maybe they were just being polite?

Oh god that is embarrassing.

I once had a really convenient girlfriend who had 3 boyfs in a row, all of whom were called David. (She married the last one.)

No need for gaffes.

Sil was with prev dp for many years and he is the father of her 2 children aged 21 and 14 but even so v embarassing!

ds ALWAYS calls my sister's new bf by the name of the last one. He loved the last one and is not so keen on this one.

wittyusername · 12/11/2008 21:43

I could see myself doing exactly the same thing

Sails · 12/11/2008 21:58

Ididn't mention, i actually did it again after dh pointed it out and I was making such an effort too! ds1 really loves sils dp btw!

My poor mum referred to my brother's new wife by his ex-wife's name once. Problem was, it on the wedding day and she was talking to the bride's parents!!!
Fortunately there is no bad blood between families (unlike the previous bunch - ) and it was taken with good humour and blamed on the free bar.
Mum was still mortified though!

LOL Aphrodite. When DH's mum got married (2nd wedding) the Best Man toasted them and used her new husband's ex-wife's name... I thought it was hilarious (I'm a bit mean like that!)
