To go down the pub seeing as dh has flaked out on the sofa?

He claimed that we would have a lovely evening in watching downloaded Heroes and Prison Break, and said that he'd sort it all out while I put ds to bed. Well I put ds to bed and came downstairs to find dh fast asleep on the sofa!!

Thing is - I don't actually have any mates...so maybe I should just go to bed myself. I just feel really annoyed with him about this!

Is there an enjoyable-to-visit pub nearby? If you are planning to roam till you find some underage-drinking noisy hellhole, or slink into one of those dark smelly estate pubs occupied by no more than four smelly men watching sport, just to prove a point, then better not.
If you have a good local then of course go along and have a laugh.

PortofinoPumpkin · 25/10/2008 21:13

I'd go - and if I was anywhere nearby I'd be coming with you!

theSuburbanDryad · 25/10/2008 21:13

Yeah - felt rough this morning but felt much better this afternoon! Still got horrific heartburn so the pub probably still wouldn't be a good idea - even if I did have anyone to go with!

Good glad you're feeling better

Probably just as well I didn't go out tonight too - I was so tired I fell asleep on the bus home from shopping

theSuburbanDryad · 25/10/2008 21:15

solidgold - if we had a local I'd definitely go! But we've not lived here long, and I'm no longer young/confident enough to just stride into a pub and expect every man in there to buy me a drink!

Wish you lived nearer Marla - we could go out on the town together and I could show off my new haircut!

No I didn't miss my stop - woke up briefly in Northampton, had dropped off again before we'd turned off Wellingborough Road down Cliftonville - woke up again just as we were coming into Wellingborough (near Sainsbury) - decided to get off the next stop and walk rather than going on into town and risk missing it

theSuburbanDryad · 25/10/2008 21:29

Aww - Z did that too on occasion. I think sometime he just gets randomly car sick! I'm impressed that your car did 60mph though!

New hair pic up on my FB profile now!

FAQ - you must live relatively near my brother and SIL. I'm sure they live near a big Sainsbury's, by the roundabout.

I genuinely cannot believe my Saturday nights have come to this - 5 years ago I'd have just been getting ready to go out, or watching a film with my friends with a nice bottle of wine and a takeaway.

Bleh.

well I'm a bit further along from there -across the traffic lights heading towards town (closer to Morrison than Sainsbury)

nice houses down there near Sainsbury

Hi how was the haircut? I would come out although already tucked up in bed but if you really need to go out I'll get up!!

theSuburbanDryad · 25/10/2008 21:53

The haircut was great - really good salon (thanks for the recommendation!) - AND it was only £22. Bargain!

Are you not on my FB? You can have a quick peek at it!

Don't worry about getting up (bless you that you would even offer though!! ) I'm sure you need your beauty sleep after your strenuous afternoon activities!!
