verruca socks and swimming

DD has worn anti verruca socks when swimming with the school for the last year, as the verruca she had a year ago was painful, took eight months to get rid of, and she doesn't want to get another one. School now telling her she shouldn't be wearing them unless she has a verruca. AIBU to think she should be allowed to wear them if she wants to?

YANBU. How jobsworth - what difference does it make to them whether she wears one or not. Sometimes I think they invent "rules" for no other reason than to make life difficult.

I sympathise.

Tell them she has one

Seconded. Say she has a whole family of them on her big toe and you're just being considerate to the other children.
Bloody petty rules are getting right on my nerves today.
