To ask if these henna brows are bad?

They looked ok in the salon but now I’m home I’m just not sure.

I wanted to try something new because my eyebrows are thin, sparse and have no shape. I said I wanted fluffy looking henna brows.

I don’t know if I’m over reacting or if they will settle because I’ve never had henna brows done before…. Is it me or do they not look very professional? I feel they’re two different shapes? The start of them are quite blocky. Particularly the left one isn’t a very flattering shape like quite a low arch?

She also offered threading which I said no to because I hate threading (the last time I had it done was awful) but there was no attempt to even pluck at some of the uneven hairs.

I have a wedding next week and I’m panicking!

Am I being unreasonable here?

I don't know what henna brows are - are they dying your hairs or your skin with henna?? But your brows look nice

WarmFeetAreLovely · 17/10/2026 14:47

I think they look ok but you do need to pluck out the hairs outside the dyed bit

Beryls · 17/10/2026 14:47

I think they look great. You're probably just looking at them too much because you've only just had them done, if you look at anything for too long it starts to looks weird.

DinoLil · 17/10/2026 14:50

Good lord! What are those?! Sorry! They'll no doubt not look as fierce in a few days. And you'll get used to them no doubt.

I wear glasses so pay no mind to eyebrows!

Happyhettie · 17/10/2026 14:53

I think they look nice but you do need to tidy up the stray hairs.

I do this all the time and I think you’re doing that thing where you’re really staring at them and after a while EVERYTHING looks wrong. And from what you’ve said your usual eyebrows are thin, sparse and have no shape (your wording - I’m not being mean before anyone says that!!) that would make them seem feel different to you too.

That said, I have no idea what henna brows are so I might not be the most helpful person to comment. I hope you have a lovely time at the wedding.

They look great! Remember that brows are sisters, not twins. You could pluck the stray hairs in you prefer.

Justaquestionplease · 17/10/2026 15:46

I like them

Overthebow · 17/10/2026 15:47

They’re very thick and dark, is henna supposed to fade to look more natural or does it stay like that? The middles are quite a harsh line, could you sort that by plucking some shape into them?

Catsamores · 17/10/2026 15:51

They’ll fade before the wedding and will look better

Shloopie · 17/10/2026 15:53

Yeah, they're very blocky. I dye my eyebrows at home and if I go a bit heavy handed it's usually faded a bit within a couple of days. But I've never used henna admittedly.

Smartiepants79 · 17/10/2026 15:54

Well they’re not awful. Shape is ok they just look very dark for my taste but presume they fade a bit after cleansing? Think they’ll be ok when it’s settled and you’ve got used to how it looks different.

HorseandHeron · 17/10/2026 15:57

The colour is good and the arc of the brow is great. I personally hate very straight edges on eyebrows as they look artificial and harsh - you might soften that line a bit.

Robogob · 17/10/2026 15:59

I think they look nice.

I go to a small salon run by a lady from India, (where threading and henna brows are the norm). Really quick, she does a great job and it costs about a tenner.
Honestly, look for one of these. I do look a bit like an Angrybird after getting them done but they’re fine after a shower when the remaining henna is off my skin.
