It hit the UK in 2024, when makeup artist Pat McGrath created a porcelain doll look for John Galliano's models. This was a custom-made varnish, the models couldn't use any facial expressions or the makeup would splinter.

Now it's just very clean, exfoliated and moisturised, shiny skin.

I don’t understand the love for this look. If you have any kind of texture to your skin it looks horrible. Accentuates every pore and blemish. Which is why it’s targeted at the young, I think.

I love it! I don’t have it but I think their skin looks beautiful. Was just commenting to a colleague tonight how fab her skin looked. Wasn’t quite like the ones posted but it looked glowy and luminous.

I don’t normally do this look but I used a water face cream today and put make up on and had this look I used a liquid blush as well that was nice

I have some of the medicube collagen jelly and it gives me that look. Well the shiny part not the beautiful face - I look more like a shiny Shrek!
DS's gf had some and didn't like it so gave it to me!

Just to add I only use it at night! It's actually really good but wouldn't go out like that.

I love this look but I don't have the time for the zillion products I've seen women on those GRWM videos. Plus I'm menopausal so it pretty much looks like this several times a day.
