Just want a man's touch

I just woke up this morning feeling really sad and lonely. I'm 38, separated now for three years, two DCs. I realised last night that in three years I haven't been kissed in an adult way, haven't snuggled up next to a man, haven't been skin to skin with someone. I really miss it. I just want a man's touch.

It's not (just) a sex thing. And I know that if I wanted that I could probably get it online instantly. It's more just being intimate with someone in a deeper physical way of which that is part. Do you know what I mean? Someone I know and trust and am comfortable with. How can I get that? It's hard with the kids being here 5 nights a week, and work and everything else. I just wish I had a friend with benefits type thing, but that those benefits were more than simply functional to get us both off.

I don't even really know what the AIBU is. I just fancied a snog and a cuddle last night and couldn't imagine how I'd get one.

I get it. It's been 7 years. I live in a one bedroom flat with my daughter, never have a night away from her, zero childcare, nothing. I've turned relationships down because I just can't do it.

Daughter is too young for me to be bringing men into her life anyway. By the time she's old enough and I have miraculously got a two bedroomed house, I'm going to be even less attractive than I am now. I don't know what the answer is but you're not alone in the problem!

I'm married to a man who has adhd & autism for 15 + years . I realise at the beginning he lovebombed me by the hugs & kisses he knew is normal in a relationship and expected from someone but sadly that has stopped . I haven't been kissed in many years nor hugged and feel lonely in my marriage so I know how you feel , even seeing couples walk holding hands breaks my heart knowing I won't ever have that .
Don't rule yourself out of never having that again , 38 is not too old .

I hope someone decent comes your way when the time is right.

2 nights off a week is enough to go on a few dates. You could try the online apps?

It is pretty dire but I do know friends that have struck lucky so it does happen.
