To think this is odd behaviour by ex MIL

Ex MIL and I are not on speaking terms, we don’t get on at all. DS has Facebook but rarely uses it. He honestly only changes his profile and cover pictures. Nothing else. Ex MIL and I are not connected on Facebook, but not blocked either.
Over the past couple of months I’ve noticed that when I comment on DS change of picture she will comment too. So I tested this and didn’t comment on one, no comment from her, even though her own son did. The same if no one comments, no comment from her. Just when I comment on them.
You might think why am I noticing or even thinking about this, it’s because she doesn’t message him or WhatsApp or ever call him, he would tell you himself he doesn’t feel that he knows her or has a relationship with her. I’m really perplexed why she’s doing this and what she hopes to achieve? It seems very deliberate.

Your comment bumps it up her newsfeed that’s all.

To test your theory get your DS to change his profile picture to one of your ex-MIL then comment "I haven't seen that daft old bat in years" and then see if she comments.

Odd behaviour - yes. Worth your brain space to think about it - no.

I thought this but we aren’t friends, and she doesn’t do it when her son who she is friends with, comments.

Agree, just an irritant this evening bugging me on a dull Wednesday evening.

You don’t have to be friends.

Any comments on the photo will bump it up.

Really not worth any more brain space.

Just block her, then she can’t see your comments. Job done
