Being ill at work and having people fuss round

There’s a woman at work who seems to love being ill at work. She turned up at an away day ill, but she said she knew she was ill in the morning but drove there anyway. So got more ill at the hotel, (cough/ cold type ill). Didnt come to any activities except meals , otherwise staying in her room. On the second day we had to all sit around her at breakfast working out what to do and then pay for taxi home, then a taxi a few days later to get her car. More recently she had the flu jab and again ‘ felt ill/faint’ at work. People fussing round. She lives alone and I can’t help thinking she loves the attention,

I just ignore this type of behaviour.

I have a colleague who loves nothing more than to share her woes from her eyelashes coming out which gives her anxiety, to hearing her grunting “oh im tired, oh im hungry “ all fucking day. She will cry for whatever reason and i just dont care. Been going on for yrs and its all attention seeking.

i probably sound like a bitch, but im too old to give a fuck really.

i work and go home, like the others who feel the same.

OP, just don’t entertain her.

I wouldn’t bother with the fussing. As an adult you know if you are too
unwell to work and should not come in.
