AIBU to ask for a contract for a 2-3hr job?

I want to hire a cleaner or 2 for a one off deep clean. I am disabled and there are tasks I just can't do or get missed because everything else takes all my effort. I know what I want done. I organised and paid for a deep clean a few years ago but was disappointed. I made clear going around the house what I wanted but they missed a lot to do everyday tasks I didn't need doing and had already made clear were not a priority in the timeframe. Everything was out of their way so they didn't need to move anything. I was not brave enough to ask them to complete what they agreed.
Should I draw up a list with them and insist we both sign it? Or is this just rude?

A deep clean can’t be done in two - three hours so I would look at 2 cleaners at 3 - 4 hours each
I would expect any decent cleaner / company would clearly outline what is included ie ovens or not, windows etc so both client and company are happy

rubyslippers yes I asked them if 3hrs was enough but there was 2 cleaners and they said yes. I would have been happy to pay for longer if needed but they used time to do easy tasks rather than those I told them were most problematic for me. If they'd said we need 4hrs that's okay. I just want the agreed jobs done.

For this kind of thing I would expect maybe a text or WhatsApp where you put in writing what work you had verbally agreed the cleaner would do.

Writing up and getting all parties really does sound OTT.

If you aren’t happy with their work you can just say you don’t want them to come again. Unless there is a contract that says otherwise.

Yes I think a WhatsApp message is best
so I would confirm you want your floors hoovers and cleaned, skirting, windows cleaned inside and out and oven etc (for example)
agree the list over message and the price and then you have recourse
