Please advise me on a conservatory as an extension

I started a thread this morning but stupidly forgot to add the link in my OP for the conservatory I'm talking about.
I am looking for thoughts and advice about adding this to the rear of my house to increase living space. I want to do it so it's open plan, not closed off. This would require remove 2 sets of French doors in the back wall of my house, to create an opening to this.
Obviously I'd have a normal extension built if I could afford it but I cant because I'm in the SE and everything down here costs multiple times what it does elsewhere in the country.
Here's what I'm interested in doing:

What are your views on this?

And here's the other thread which contains lots of replies where people are advising on other types of conservatories that aren't like the one above because I didn't include the link in my OP:

We had our existing conservatory converted into a garden room earlier this year. They used the existing base and brickwork and replaced everything above it. We now have a solid roof with two skylight windows. They also replaced the French doors. Total cost was about £12k.

I really wouldn't get rid of the French doors as the garden room won't be insulated and your living room will be much colder in the winter.

This is the sort of thing we have:

@Becs51
Wow Becs that looks incredible! Please can you tell me who you used? I did try searching SIP extensions for SE (Sussex) but couldn't find any companies at all.

I think that building regs are not approved if you remove the outside doors that allow access into a conservatory. So when you sell you have to replace the doors.

I'd never have a conservatory again, especially off the kitchen. It steams up in winter when you're cooking, and needs regular cleaning and wiping down. A pain. I'd go for a proper roofed room.

Absolutely this.
Do not remove those doors.
You can always do it later.
If you do the whole area will be baltic mid winter, surprisingly so.
Also the noise of rain can be very noisy and annoying.

We had two sets of French doors and we kept them on the advice of the guy doing our conservatory.
He said taking them out and plastering up the openings wouldn't be a big job if I wanted it, but his advice was not to.

So delighted we didn't.
Never regretted it.

Was that message for me?
We used a local South Yorkshire company.

The type I've posted has a proper roof and panel walls. There's only glass at the front which is the same as the 2 sets of glass French doors we have sitting side by side now anyway.

I’m not sure they’re still going, I can’t find them. The owner was close to retirement age. If you search SIPS extensions there will be a lot of companies, most are national because there’s a limited market as most people still opt for brick and block, but because they’re so quick and easy they’ll travel. Our lot was about 2 hours from us so the builders stayed in a local pub during the week.

We had a large conservatory right across the back of the house but rarely used it apart from one side as a utility room, it was too hot in the summer, too cold in the winter. You need building regs to take the doors out as others have said. Few years ago we had a cosy roof put on it and we now use it March through November for breakfast or sitting and the utility part all year round. We are also SE.

Ok thanks so much. I cant find anything local to my area when I search but I hadn't considered what you've said about using something further away who would travel - thanks for the tip.🙏

We have a south-west facing solid roof conservatory and use it year round as our living room. We have sliding external doors separating the conservatory from the main house, and love the fact we can close off the conservatory if we want to. We use the conservatory year round, even during the heat of this summer with blinds and opening the windows and doors it was no hotter than the rest of the house. We've had our conservatory for 10 years and still love it and use it every day.
