Im getting super pissed off and im new to this, we have a 4&5 year old, one is autistic & essentially everytime dad has them & times are set, he is uncontactable, we are talking hours past the drop off time with 0 contact. So i wait, twiddling my thumbs wondering when the hell my kids are home, how this impacts routine and so on. Lack of communication is why we are no longer together, what should i do in this situation?

even days when i have plans with my kids in the afternoon or evening, my autistic child needs routine or he becomes aggressive and violent.

my texts are ignored simply asking its way past agreed time, where are the kids!? All ignored or unanswered

also, its been 6 weeks and no money!

Which of you initiated the separation? Are you married?

He left actually, not me.

hes an avoidant, so take with that what you will. No idea how hes feeling or felt, he would never say, and he will avoid all communication

Why does this matter?

OP, make sure you put in a claim via CMS.

It seems like co-parenting isn't going to go well, are you communicating (or trying to) with a parenting app?

Have you started a child maintenance claim or child arrangements order?

of course it matters. Someone who is the one that leaves their family and is not complying with very basic matters of communication and is choosing to leave their children in the lurch financially , may mean very different things going forwards to someone who is feeling in shock at being left and is simply very disorganised. If you have an autistic child in the mix you are also far more likely to have an autistic parent which can contribute to communication and co-parenting issues. Financial structures in families where parents are not married are often very different to families where parents are married, where marital assets will come into play at some point and where each parent has a legal duty to support the other until divorce and a financial order are settled.
