I love it when Keith cries about mugs and pots...

Pottery throwdown

Who would have thought that its so lovely that a grown man cries his eyes out about a lovely mug or egg cup.

I wonder why he is so touched, particularly when a lot of them are a bit rubbish, although still very good compared to anything I would turn out.

It's a million times better than a Hollywood handshake

I think he is fab. I always hated the fact that I tear up if I'm talking about something I'm passionate about, so he makes me feel a little least of a weirdo.

He’s amazing! Only a few people can understand the craftsmanship, beauty, poetry of objects and how deep it can touch you.

I always think it seems a bit contrived. Particularly after watching the Welsh Chapel thing. I could see him working up to it a few times. I hate to be so cynical but I think he’s well aware that it’s his trademark/USP.

I think its lovely and baffling that someone can get so emotional about 'art'. Im a scientist and I dont get art at all. I have a artistic hobby which, if im honest, I hate every stage of. But i love my finished projects.

I never feel like crying with pride and I dont cry at others work. So i think its just a thing of wonder and feel a bit sad that its something I just cant relate too. Must be nice to feel do deeply. In my trade the emotional out pouring is normally swearing. When I was programming I'd often say to my server "what are you doing you barstard?" So its not quite as pure and beautiful.

I think he’s great and I love it when he has a little blubber (always gets me going too).

I get it! I’m a teacher and have been known to cry with pride when a student has done something they’re really proud of, or passed an exam against the odds, or even after one particularly good spelling test.

I’ve also just started ceramics so am enjoying the programme!

I do cringe that he calls everyone “lovey” though…

likelysuspect · 30/09/2026 21:38

I love that he calls everyone lovey, even the men. Hes not northern but its quite a northern thing.
