Can anyone recommend a steam cleaner for the home?

Fabric sofas, kids and a smelly dog do not mix. I wash the sofa cushions when I can be arsed but I’ve been wondering if one of those hand held steam cleaning devices might freshen the place up a bit. I’ve seen a few online but they are way over £100 and that’s a lot of money for something so boring. If you have one, are they worth it? Do they do a good job?

I’ve got a Dupray Neat.Had it for about four or five years. Very pleased with it. Had a Polti before but didn’t like the filler on it. Uploaded photo of Which review this year.
