To ask if you will still go to Glastonbury with the price rise?

I wouldn't ever go. But it's £30, an 8% rise. I don't think that'll make much difference to those who go.

BirdLandedonmyHead · 09/09/2026 14:48

Not my cup if tea... but a £30 rise seems quite reasonable really

ThatCosyDreamer · 09/09/2026 14:52

Used to go every year, but it's so hard to get tickets now, they sell out in seconds. Haven't managed to get any since 2017 (although haven't tried the last few years) and they were about £240 ish then. I love Glastonbury, but can't justify paying £408.

JaelFuryck · 09/09/2026 15:10

Nah - wouldn't pay what they asked last year, and can't be doing with the hype of tickets selling out

TGT · 09/09/2026 15:10

I would love to go. But I couldn’t justify it, even before the price rise.

went years ago when the world was a different country.

I think if you add up the cost of seeing all those artists separately, Glastonbury is very good value

Jesus Christ is that how much the tickets are?! It's my idea of hell so I have never really known the ticket prices but that's insane.

randomchap · 09/09/2026 15:22

It's been shite since about 1994.

HappyToSmile · 09/09/2026 15:22

I know it seems expensive, but it is only £30 more, and over the 3 days, you can get to see a Lot of class acts that would otherwise cost you far more than that.

TGT · 09/09/2026 15:25

I think I paid £20 in 1987

amber763 · 09/09/2026 15:28

The ticket price even with the rise is really reasonable considering the number of bands and the entertainment for the weekend. 30 quid won't stop people going. Thats about the cost of 2 or 3 pints inside!

Ponderingwindow · 09/09/2026 15:31

Don’t tickets sell out ridiculously fast? They clearly haven’t reached the price point yet where demand starts to wane.

Ilovemsrachel · 09/09/2026 15:44

Yeah of course people are going to pay it, it’s only going to get more popular. I’ve paid twice that for hospitality tix before. There is nowhere on earth I’d rather be, it’s amazing, I love it

ClaredeBear · 09/09/2026 15:48

I think it’s always been really rubbish and the price is now insane - can’t see why anyone would want to go.
