AIBU to ask does anyone else feel like they are living the best version of themselves in their 40’s. Since I’ve turned 40 I suddenly give less shits about what people think of me etc.
I feel the best I have ever felt! I have managed to get myself back to my 8st pre baby weight (my you youngest is 11!) and in May i weighed just over 10stone! I feel so so good, I look good (if I must say so myself) and clothes FINALLY look how I want them to look and I feel so confident everyday getting dressed. Is this the 40s because if it is I bloody love it!! Anyone else??

Mine was when I hit 50. Good on you for getting there earlier!

I dgaf what other people think about me, my choices, my life, or anything and consequently I have stopped seeking external validation for anything and people pleasing - and its liberating.

Delighted! It’s very liberating isn’t it!

I've absolutely stopped giving a shit, it's a marvellous side affect of menopause.

I've never really cared what other people think, but yes I'm very happy in my 40s. Lost a lot of weight (still quite a bit to go) and I feel good in my clothes again. I like my job, I like my life, it's lovely.

I’m confused OP, do you weigh 8 stone or 10 stone? Both amounts are mentioned in your post.

I weigh 8st now, I was 10stone. So have lost 2st.

I go through phases. Mostly I don’t care, then I feel great, then down, then start at the beginning 😂

Yes. I am 48 and I feel at my best right now, way more confident, I have found the colours that suit me, a style...Not perfect (I'd like to lose a bit of weight, a stone but it is not easy) but I feel better with myself now than when I was in my 30's!
