I'm quite intrigued by almost all the children cutting ties with him. I always thought he came across as a decent man and that she had issues.

This is massively old shit. It would be great if we could stop the speculation about people we'll never know. AJ suffered from what a lot of women do, misogyny across the press. She was accused of doing humanitarian work for attention, even though it didn't get much attention. We know BP has addictions and is abusive in various ways. But no-one has to be the bad one, they've divorced, what the children decide to do is their business. All this pitching people against each other isn't healthy.

The press always paint women especially female celebs as the unstable and unreasonable ones in a divorce. We live in a patriarchy. The fact that her eldest son was trying to protect his mum from his dad tell us everything we need to know. Every single one of his children has cut ties with him and dropped his name as soon as they reached 18.

Add to the fact that his new girlfriend is THIRTY YEARS his junior, tells you the type of man he is. Angelina hasn’t gotten herself a brand new toy it has she? She’s too busy prioritising her children!

I have no idea what really happened between AJ and BP, or who is the bad one, but children can definitely be taught to think badly of a mostly absent parent by the parent who they live with.
Sadly, the children do not always question the accepted narrative even when they become grown ups.

Yes, and as soon as they grew old enough nearly all of them have made the decision to change their name. The oldest is 25 now and was 15 during the plane incident, the next two were both 10 or over = more than old enough to make their own minds up about it.

Your view towards AJ is quite sexist - being a bit wild/sexually promiscuous in your teens/20s doesn't automatically make you a terrible person for the rest of your life. Whereas admitting to being an alcoholic (as BP has!) does make you an alcoholic! Also agree with @ThunderThunderThunderThunderCats - considering the way people talk about AJ's sexuality she's not the one who has been linked with new partner/s.

Real life isn't a film, neither of them is probably the 100% 'bad guy.' But the fact that none of his kids want to see him, a decade after they split, tells me something.
