Neighbour's cat pooing on our driveway EVERY DAY

Am I being unreasonable to think this is unacceptable??
Every single day we have to pick up cat shit from our gravel driveway- sometimes it's twice a day.
It's getting to the point where it's made me cry - it stinks - it's getting accidentally trodden on - it is constant.
In response to potential responses- yes it is definitely our neighbour's cat - we've seen it in the act on the ring doorbell footage so many times- just never when we've been able to get out there to shoo it away. And there is no point talking to the neighbours about it - they are horribly inconsiderate neighbours in multiple other way too.
We have no money so there is no way that we can afford to pave the driveway instead.
We have tried every deterrent we can afford - we've tried citronella spray, citrus rinds, chilli powder, jeyes fluid etc. We have lavender plants on the borders.
I just don't know what to do anymore.
It is just not on that we have to clear up after someone else's pet every single day. I genuinely HATE this cat now.
Does anyone have any solutions / deterrents that have genuinely worked for them in similar situations?

Have you tried one of those high-pitched sonic things? The people across the road have one to protect their immaculate back garden. They say they never get any visits from our cat.

I’d be giving them their shit back every day and have water guns permanently on hand so that you can squirt the cat, preferably while it’s mid shit.

Peppermint oil or orange peel should break the habit

@EggyM if you had a sensors that lightly sprayed water the cat would run off. .
As the neighbours are horrible you wouldn’t ask or want them over to clean it ?

Cat repellant powder. Ive used this before and it definitely works. Sprinkle it when it is dry and also in other areas the cat might move to poo. You can buy it at pets at home.

It's because it's gravel,it looks like a massive litter tray. I'm not sure there's anything you can do about it,it's not like the neighbours can have a word with the cat and as it's an outdoor cat it would be unfair to keep it in. Cat repellent sounds like it's worth a go. You could get a high powered water gun and squirt the cat, won't take many goes for him to get the message but the the neighbours might not like it if they're unreasonable.

I had a neighbours cat that did this. The ONLY thing that worked (gross alert) was leaving the bags of MY cats used cat litter on the drive, and honestly, who wants that? As soon as I stopped doing that, it started up again.

In the end, I paved the drive. And it pooed on the concrete. So save your money on that. It won't work.

I'd move the shit on to their drive or front lawn/flowerbeds, since you're scooping it up anyway. The smell might encourage the cat to recognise that as its shitting area instead but at least it'll inconvenience them as well.

Otherwise water pistols. Every time you see the cat on your property. It's better if you can to hide so they associate the water with the place, not you. Or automatic water sprinklers if possible?

I like cats and I wouldn't be cross with it, it's just its nature. But I would be trying to get it to stop!

Keep glasses of water to hand by the closest windows, up the sensitive of the doorbell for a week so it goes off when the cat is there (not just you checking back later). As soon as you know it’s there throw water on it. You’ll only have to do it two or three times

What about spraying bleach on the gravel?

I would have one more attempt at talking to the neighbours and if unsuccessful, I’d be telling them if they are unable to control it, I’ll be putting the mess back on their drive, every time.

Automatic water sprinkler is the only way we've found.

Try lion dung pellets.

In reality, using water pistols and glasses of water could lead to more difficulties with the already difficult neighbours. This is why I think the ultrasonic cat repeller would be the best solution.

Find a holly bush and collect a pile of leaves, sprinkle them all over your drive.

They are super spikey things and actually get worse as they dry out.
