No threads about the baby in Sheffield? Trigger warning

I'm not going to post a link, but I'm astounded nobody has created a thread on this yet. It's already "yesterday's news" and it only happened on Sunday.

Are we that normalised as a society to such horrific and sustained evil violence towards a defenceless newborn?

Rest in Peace Baby S

Also surprised

faithfultoGeorgeMichael · 03/09/2026 21:45

I think it's one of those cases that is so shocking and horrific that it defies speculation. The trial will be covered extensively I am sure.

Heathertrott2 · 03/09/2026 21:45

If it gets to trial. How could they possibly have a case to plead not guilty

There have been threads. They’ve been deleted by MNHQ because of the tone.

RemindMeIn15Minutes · 03/09/2026 21:47

Poor poor baby.

Sunshineandrainbow · 03/09/2026 21:49

Horrific

A thread was deleted yesterday.

neilyoungismyhero · 03/09/2026 21:57

To be honest what could possibly be said about something so completely shocking and unbelievable.

What exactly do you feel a thread would contribute? Beyond speculation and repetition of the same sentiments over and over again.

We all know it's terrible. We don't need a thread to determine that.

PensionPTake · 03/09/2026 22:05

It's a very strange case

Ohdearnotthisagain · 03/09/2026 22:06

So unbelievably sad for that poor baby.

Try Chat or News. This is AIBU.

I'm local and have read a lot of Facebook responses. The racism is disgusting as is the crime.

Just awful.

Whaaaatszuuup · 03/09/2026 22:14

I also don’t see what the point of a thread is. There’s not much to talk about yet. I am wondering whether they are going to keep the 15 year old in custody though. April 12th is the trial.

Well you didn't create a thread before now either, did you?

PurplebudsWhitebuds · 03/09/2026 22:40

There was a thread certainly yesterday.

I think you have to be very careful talking about these cases before any trial takes place.

Obviously it's shocking and utterly sad and depressing but nobody knows the facts until the trial.

Oooono · 03/09/2026 22:43

What I have read is so bloody shocking…poor baby ! Human beings are sick..wish I could unread what I read .😒

Dollymylove · 04/09/2026 08:55

If they have been charged and remanded nothing much will be reported on. Investigations will be ongoing and the police will be building the case against them.
Its difficult to imagine who on earth would stab a new born baby 33 times.
The depths of human detritus floating around never ceases to astound me
