I gave him everything and he still left. Why wasn’t I good enough 💔💔

Generally, giving someone everything isn’t a good idea. You need to give yourself the best of you too.

randomchap · 03/09/2026 18:27

Another thread?

Why not keep it all in the same one and reply to the people trying to help you.

Please, please get some therapy.

NotEnoughtGin · 03/09/2026 18:29

For fuck sake, how many threads are you going to start about your boyfriend leaving you weeks ago?
You have been given plenty of advice but all you do is whine and start new threads. Grow up and move on

vodkaredbullgirl · 03/09/2026 18:32

Again

ShitFacedShakespeare · 03/09/2026 18:35

Are you seeking help for your mental health?

TrunkElliot · 03/09/2026 18:37

Was your gp able to help you?

ComtesseDeSpair · 03/09/2026 18:45

Relationships aren’t about being “good enough” or how much try to keep somebody around by doing what you think pleases them. It wasn’t the right relationship, for either of you, if it required that much effort and that much giving. Break ups are hard, but you’ll begin to feel better once the shock has passed and you’re living life as you, not through him. I think you need some support with your mental health; and I suspect that your poor mental health was probably among the factors which led to the end of the relationship. You need to focus on you, and being well.

FaceEatingLeopard · 03/09/2026 18:46

Are you planning on keeping this up for the rest of your life? It must be boring you to tears. It's certainly doing that to us.

BreezyClouds · 03/09/2026 18:47

He wanted someone different.

I can't imagine anything worse than being with someone who didn't want to be with me. Surely that gave you the ick?

You're well shot of him, move on.

Go onto YouTube and look up advice for overcoming limerance

StrugglingAlong75 · 03/09/2026 18:54

A good relationship is about two people who suit each other and who both put in the effort. It's not about whether anyone is "good enough". It's about whether you're both the right people for each other right now. Obviously you're not.

Contain4 · 03/09/2026 18:57

Gently, I can see why he left.

You sound extremely suffocating.

I hope your son is ok and not having to deal with your behaviour.

He has left.
Crying about it is not going to bring him back.

Do you work?

TooOrangey · 03/09/2026 19:00

How are strangers on Mumsnet supposed to know the answer?

I suspect you’re quite difficult judging by your myriad posts on the matter. I do wish you would take the advice to get some therapy. I hope you can take that step.

3luckystars · 03/09/2026 19:00

Sometimes things that feel like a disaster end up being a blessing! Why would you want to be with someone who doesn’t want to be with you?

SerendipityCat · 03/09/2026 19:05

TheOpalFox · 03/09/2026 18:51

why did he want someone different ?

How on earth can anyone on here be expected to know that? At a rough count, this is about the fifteenth thread you've started on the same subject - please, please get yourself some help. It's becoming unhealthy now.

mbosnz · 03/09/2026 19:15

This really is unhealthy for you. And really, given how ruthless AIBU can be, it's a very unsuitable forum for your many threads on the same topic.

Well according to you he couldn’t handle your mental health issues.
