Not sure what to make of this l? Neighbour related

So last week a picture painted of an English flag was thrown over into my garden by my neighbours child who is about 8/9?

I am non white and I am not really sure what to make of this?

For the record, there is ongoing tension with this particular neighbour.
Issues with her kids trespassing onto my front garden, balls kicked at my front door etc, ongoing noise disturbance.

AIBU to feel annoyed by this? AIBU?

To add there was football related stuff written on it.

Well I would be annoyed at anything being thrown into my garden but given the other problems you are having with these neighbours I think you would be justified as seeing this as a deliberate attempt to upset you.
I'm really sorry you are experiencing neighbour problems OP. They can make life very uncomfortable

I have made a log of all the incidents to the HA and emailed them about the latest incident.

Glad you reported it, OP. It's important that incidents like this are reported, so that there's a record if an issue persists and the HA want to take action.

Your HA should have an anti-social behaviour policy; if this sort of thing continues, it might be worth looking it up.

You said it was football? Our kids (not white) play with these, tops, balls and sometimes some of the relatives have the flags when they watch matches, not that I'd ever let my kids drop anything in the neighbour's garden, even though no one would think it was racist, they shouldn't be disturbing or messing up stuff.

She said there have been items in the past such as football, not that the picture was football related.

I can’t see an innocent explanation for this unfortunately, we are way past the World Cup or an equivalent event where kids just go out and make random flag pictures you could dismiss as one of those things. How old are the kids?

I’ve been in a situation where we were horrifically abused by our massive racist neighbours so I completely understand.

Having said that what I would do is the next time I saw any of them I’d say ‘one of your Kai’s football pictures ended up in my garden. I’ve put it on my fridge for the next time England are playing’ or something like that.
