AIBU to stop chasing a friendship when I always text first

Ive had a friend for about ten years. We get on well when we see one another but there is the problem.
We hardly see eachother now. I always text first
Ive decided not to bother and see what happens. Not heard from her in about a month now.

Am I being unreasonable in letting her go ?

Dreadful isn't it. Yes I should wait to hear. The phone works both ways.
Some people just think others should be their social secretary.

I don't think a month is a very long time, however if you feel like it is always you who is making the effort and it isn't reciprocated, then there is no harm in taking a step back. You might find she reaches out to you, or she might not. Some friendships last forever and others just run thier course.

Me contacting first wouldn't necessarily bother me if we had a good time meeting up. I have a friend who suggests we meet, then I agree and end up being the one chasing up with whats happening and being cancelled on last minute. I've stopped making any effort now she has to initiate first.
