Hypnotherapy for food noise?

I have been taking a GLP-1 for over a year, first mounjaro and then wegovy when prices shot up.

The treatment has truly changed my life. It has helped me lose the weight I had struggled for years for years. Before this, I yoyoed between periods of emotional binge eating and periodically forced myself to change my diet, but each time I piled it all back on after a couple of months because the effort of self control was unsustainable.

But even more than weight, it has transformed my mental health. Since I was about 10 (and I’m 32 now) I was consumed by constant food noise - worried about when I could next eat, whether I’d get enough, piling my plate high and eating until I felt stuffed and unwell. This drug has freed me from the constant intrusive thoughts and finally allowed me to eat normally - for genuine hunger and enjoyment, in moderation.

The issue is I want to start trying to conceive soon and I obviously have to stop the medication. I am really scared of when all the thoughts return and I can’t control myself anymore, particularly as it’s important to stay healthy when pregnant.

No diet or approach ever worked for me - I tried everything but it never lasted. The only thing I didn’t try was hypnotherapy for food addiction. Has anyone ever tried this and did it help you? Keen to hear your experiences as it’s a lot of money to spend.

I don’t think you’ll know until you try. Hypnotherapy works wonders for some people; however I’ve tried it several times for various reasons and never been successful
