He had me as his profile pic etc. then there was one weekend we broke up and he obviously removed everything. But now we are back together hi fb still looks completely single his profile pic isn’t me, cover photo isn’t. He said he doesn’t care about other people knowin his business? Is anyone else like this

I’ve been married 20 years and you wouldn’t know it on my Facebook profile. I’m not classed as married and I don’t have a photo of my husband. I don’t see how it matters. DH doesn’t care

aray1996 · 24/08/2026 07:44

Does it seem like he’s hiding me? He is older than me. I’m 31 and he’s 41

He rushed to cancel you in anger. Everything going well doesn't motivate in the same way?
Or he might think it makes him look silly, chopping and changing it?
Waiting to see how things go?
I guarantee (We aren't even friends. Why would we need to be?) my partner will not have me on his facebook details at all. Again, privacy reasons.

TigerRag · 24/08/2026 07:47

Why does it matter? Neither of my parents who have been married for 39 years have a photo of them together as their profile picture

shellyleppard · 24/08/2026 07:47

@aray1996 seriously??? Why would he have you as his Facebook profile picture?? Seriously?? Not everything is done for clicks or likes

PurplebudsWhitebuds · 24/08/2026 07:51

He wanted people to know you were together before your wee break up. And he was very quick to remove you when you broke up. So it definitely doesn't ring true if he is now saying he doesn't care about people knowing his relationship status .

Sounds very much as though he is hedging his bets and doesn't see your reconciliation as long term.

It’s my 20th wedding anniversary in December. I’ve never had my husband on my profile pictures and nor me on his. Why would we?

You’ve posted about this, and many other issues relating to your insecurity about your boyfriend, before.

StressedOutPeanut · 24/08/2026 12:02

I've been married 18 years and never had a profile photo of my husband, doesn't even say I am married apart from one photo of my husband and child in 18 years I posted years ago people would assume I am a single mum. Your being immature and weird.

Valid8me · 24/08/2026 12:09

I've been in a relationship for nearly 20 years, neither my cover photo or my profile pic feature my partner at the moment. Sometimes they do, sometimes not, Depends on my mood and whether I've just taken a nice photo of him/us tbh.

I've just read your other thread though - this is not a healthy relationship and you would be better off apart. His facebook profile is the least of your problems.

DahliaDelights · 24/08/2026 12:10

You're 31? You sound about 12 obsessing over someone's Fb profile picture.

You dated, he made it evident on Fb, you broke up, he made that evident on Fb, you got back together - its not unreasonable to think he doesnt want to make it evident on fb because it looks flaky to be breaking up and making up.

Especially if you're is making it a big deal; that might be the reason he thinks it isnt going to last if your not aligned on simple things?

Maybe hes a "see how it goes" keep things close guy where you're a "look at us, we're so happy" external validation seeker?

Also, its a bit controlling to want to have any say in his social media. Making demands on his social media would be a red flag for me if a guy I'd been seeing wanted me to post a certain way. Its my social media, I post what I want to post. My decision.

Pedant61 · 24/08/2026 12:15

Why do you care, OP? I think my husband has a FB page, although he doesn't use it much. But I've never looked at it, I very much doubt he has put anything under relationship status, and I can guarantee that there are no pictures of me on there 😂 But it's not important, nobody cares - whereas, in the real world, we've been married 30+ years.
Come off FB, OP, or just stop looking.
