AIBU to wonder whether I should mention a blocked gutter to someone down my road?

Today we had a heavy downpour. Heard this a loud dripping noise. A house in the cul de sac must have some blockage in their gutter. The rain lasted around 30 mins.

I don’t know the household to speak to. Should I hand deliver a note to inform them about the gutter or hopefully someone else nearer to them has alerted them.

Im in two minds about informing them.

That’s must be a hell of a loud dripping noise to hear it several houses away.
Im sure the homeowner can identify their own household maintenance issues, especially if it’s as loud as it apparently was.

I’d just leave it be. My neighbours are constantly pointing out ‘funny slates’ on my roof because they stare at it all fucking day. Does my head in because I also have eyes what I don’t have is roof slate money.

Keep your beak out.

I would only mention it if it was say a terraced house and it was damaging my house too, but even then only after a long period of time had passed without it being fixed. Generally people are aware of house maintenance issues and are not going to want neighbours pointing things out all the time.

If you can hear it from you house, they'll definitely be aware of it

Oh I'm in a minority but if it was mine I'd welcome someone mentioning it! DH and I are crap at household maintenance and a neighbour mentioning something we might have missed would be a relief tbh
