A convicted serial sex offender has been allowed to change his name 20 times after and during his multiple criminal convictions for CSA and breaching his sexual harm order.
When are the idiots in charge of this country going to ban anyone with a conviton for a sexual offence or is on trial for sexual offences going to be banned from changing their name and/or gender

Paedophile fireman used loophole to keep changing his identity

Ministers were under pressure last night to close a legal loophole that allows paedophiles and perverts to change their identity.

Dead right. What a farce.
A Sex Offenders register is meaningless if it can be circumvented in this way. (I’m increasingly in favour of a flipping facial tattoo for our worst criminals but I know that’s a step in the wrong direction.)
But urgent attention to the teeth of the legal system is required, since there are far too many ‘outs’ for the very types who should be off the streets for very long stretches.

(And same applies to the likes of Mr Robinson/Yaxley)

YANBU OP.

See also Martin Oliver, convicted child sex offender. Apparently he’s changed his name as well.

Victims of SA are really let down in the UK. I don’t give a damn about the “rights” of predators.

Could the people who think sex offenders should be allowed to change their name and/or gender explain why

Worked in a prison and this is very common .
We had a repeat offender that came in many times , he always came in as a bird so surnames such as Finch , Bird , Jay , Crow etc . Another would come in as Christmas , Summers , Winters .

I work in this field and I agree, it doesn't stop us tracking and monitoring them but it stops members of the public they form relationships with and don't disclose to, being aware of the risks they pose. They will often choose something very very generic eg John Smith or the name of a famous person so when googled their offences don't immediately come up.
