AIBU to feel put off after birthday mention stopped messages?

I met a guy on hinge and we hit it off well, moved off the app. We have essentially had a continuous conversation for maybe 2-3 weeks now. He asked to meet up and I said yes but we’ve both been away, I’m back now and I think he’s coming back this weekend before we arranged anything.

anyway, as we’re yet to plan a date we’ve just been chatting, he usually messages me multiple times a day, not all the time but always something. Yesterday was my birthday, I didn’t tell him my birthday was coming up or expect anything as we’ve never met lmao but yesterday he asked how my weekend was going and I said it was going well, it was my birthday and I’m having a nice time and I asked how his weekend was going.

Now, nothing? I try not to look into messaging habits too much but as we’ve never met in person it’s all I’m going off and I can’t help but think after a little while of continuous chatting my birthday is the thing that halted it! I think I’m just wondering whether to accept he’s not that into me and move on? What do you think, AIBU for being a bit put off/upset?

Never chat for this long. Arrange a date and meet as soon as you can.

Texting can build a false sense of intimacy, but you’ve really just got a pen pal. It’s nothing you’ve done and it’s not about your birthday, it’s just fizzled out. Throw him back OP.

I knowww, I wanted to meet sooner but I was on holiday and he was seeing family but he said to me when we’re both back in the same city we’ll plan something but he’s not back yet haha
