AIBU to think pop-up museums and experiences are overpriced?

I’m seeing all these pop up museums, interactive / illusion / learning experiences etc (often those Fever ones) that I’d love to take the kids to this summer holiday, but they cost up to £100 for 2 adults and 2 kids for an outing that would last an hour? I can understand the cost of some things like the zoo as it’s a full day outing that everyone enjoys but otherwise they’re just so overpriced and so comes across as gimmicky! Leaves me with little option but the same free museums and parks every day.

YANBU it really fucking annoys me that a lot of places now charge ANYONE AGED 2 OR OVER adult prices.

Fucking adult price aged 2!

Agree they are overpriced, we did the Tutankhamun one recently and while it was good it was 90 minutes maximum and you can’t go back round once you complete a section. Had we paid full price it would have easily topped £100 for 2 adults and 1 child with parking.
We did find discount codes and stacked them, ended up with 20% off.

They are businesses, i personally don’t bother with them but they must get enough customers to stay open.

I also did this. It was a poor substitution for a real museum with real artefacts and real, knowledgeable staff

Yes it's ridiculous. I'm taking my daughter to London next week and I did debate going to a couple...before I saw the prices. We'll be going to the free museums instead!

i agree. They are massively overpriced generally and often rubbish. I find art exhibitions can be crazy expensive too.
