To ask what's happened to Clipper Earl Grey and White Tea??

Both the Earl Grey and the White Tea have suddenly - as in the last two boxes of each we've bought over the last fortnight - tasted really bad, definitely not the usual. We've bought both for years. I bought one more box from Amazon and that one tastes like normal, but possibly just older stock.

Are Clipper doing a Twinings? (the Lapsang Souchong debacle of 2023)?

Can anyone recommend a similar White Tea as an alternative?

Yes!!! I actually contacted Clipper about it today! I haven't had a reply yet. The EG tastes really off and the gorgeous White Tea just tastes like a bog standard brown tea. All the nuance and delicacy is completely gone. Literally in the last two weeks, both teas tasted so bad.

I remember the Twinings horror well 😁

I finally found lapsang souchong tea in Harrogate after missing it for years. The same shop might have other interesting flavours. Place called TrueTea that might have a website.

I'll check Trutea out. I absolutely loved Clipper White Tea and Earl Grey - it seems too much of a coincidence that both have 'gone' at the same time.

I switched to Taylors of Harrogate for Lapsang! Is Harrogate some kind of tea Mecca?
