What time do hotel weddings typically finish in the uk
staying in a hotel all week and arrived back from my day out and there is a massive wedding taking placE, only problem is my room is right beside the event room it’s taking place in and I might as well be in the room with the guests
ive to be up early for a flight home and it’s mental

would it be unreasonable to request a room change

I think 11pm or midnight is a normal time for a wedding to finish.

Eleven or more likely midnight. Very occasionally 1pm but that's usually only with special license and if the wedding has taken the entire hotel.

Of course there's likely to be another 30 minutes of loud goodbyes and waiting for taxies etc.

Usually midnight then staff tidy up the function rooms so noise could go on for a long time.

Any hotel reception I’ve been to has always ended at 1am.

Request a room change. At the last wedding I went to (I was staying at the venue in a room too) people didn't start settling down til 1.30-2pm. Running around the corridors, pissed and rowdy, and noisy. (The whole hotel was booked out so no-one was affected that wasn't at the wedding.)

I was top floor thankfully, away from most of all the rabble.

Serious question though, why on earth did you book an early flight after an all day wedding, knowing it will run into the late night?

Ours went on until 4am - the bar was open for guests at the hotel for as long as they wanted it to be. A large proportion of our wedding party stayed at the hotel so there were about 30 of us still going at that time.

So, basically, it'll depend what the hotel's policy is. A lot close their bars at 11pm, 12 midnight or 1am. As private events, the latest most weddings in hotels finish is 1am.

Give reception a call and ask for a room change.

I got married in a hotel in NI. Official party and music carried on until 1, but the residents bar was still serving at 5.

the wedding music ended at 11.30, so was ok after that tg. I didn't fancy packing up everything and walking through reception in my pjs.
