(I’m reluctantly putting my head above the parapet here after yesterdays post and different help given to a lady who was scammed by someone in Scotland)
This is probably controversial, but I don’t want to give up…
If anyone is specifically a Cambridge DL member - it would be helpful to know if this blue Audi is regularly or ever seen parked in the car park there?
I visited on 22 June, parked in a very well-considered protected space with kerbs effectively on 3 sides, (another kerb to the front of my vehicle out of shot) - so my vehicle was only exposed on one side, also parked tucked tightly onto the kerbs.
When I returned my car had been damaged on the one exposed side.
The vehicle parked next to me on arrival (photo) is taxed, insured and registered as a “blue” Audi. The vehicle was gone and the space empty on my return.
The paint damage left on my silver vehicle is clearly “blue” and at a height that matches the blue car.
Management were helpful, insurers have asked DL for CCTV footage, but the fact that nothing has come back is not looking positive at this stage.
Of course, I can’t state with certainty that the blue Audi is definitely at fault here, but I and the insurers want to exclude the vehicle.
The Audi would have damage to the nearside front or rear - ( IF ) it was this vehicle that had hit mine.
My insurers say they are likely to apportion the blame to me - if a driver is not located, (which is gutting as I was not with the vehicle, decades of unblemished driving record and could not have taken better precautions).
I’m especially wanting a result on this because it is the only new vehicle I have ever had/will have in my lifetime and only 3k miles on the clock.
Realise this is controversial, but I don’t want to let it go…
