AIBU to ask for a refund on missed next day delivery?

I ordered some iron on Monday at 1pm from lloyds pharmacy. Paid extra for next day delivery. It's now been two days with zero sign of it and Evri and still "expecting" the package. Wibu to ask for a refund for the next day delivery fee?

i keep falling for this, yes it may be a next day delivery but the supplier doesn't actually post it for a day or 2. Does it actually say how long they take to despatch?

Yeah check what it actually says about despatch times. My experience is that you rarely get the money refunded for next day delivery options.

With N’evri you will be lucky to get it in 3 days.

I did! They've also switched delivery from Evri to Royal Mail.

Of course you should ask! And I'm glad you did and got sorted. They rely on making money when people don't ask! If they guarantee next day and fail, then they have an issue with their dispatch or courier, not your fault and they should refund.

I got a refund from Yours Clothing last week as my order didnt arrive the next day.

And 2 weeks ago I got my whole order refunded from Must Have Ideas as they guarantee 2 day delivery or they'll refund the full amount. (And i got to keep the stuff when it arrived)

I order stuff to be delivered when I know im going to be home, sometimes that costs extra, so im not happy if it doesn't arrive when it should.

That’s good! So it looks like they must’ve issued a new order then, as the original one (I assume, from what you’ve said) must’ve already left and Evri were just fannying around. I expect they have marked the other one as lost/cancelled, something like that.

Yep I did that with next and got my delivery fee back.
