To boycott my perfectly good hairdresser in favour of local barber?

My hairdresser costs four times the cost for short hair as the local barbers who do women's short hair.

For the same haircut... The places are literally 100m or so apart?

I've had haircuts at both places now.

If you’re happy with the cheaper option, of course you can switch.

It’s not a ‘boycott’ to use a different person to cut your hair. Have it cut wherever you want, for whatever reason you want. It’s pretty basic every day decision really

If it's cheaper and you're happy with the cut then I don't see why you wouldn't do this really.

As for ethical considerations- unless the barber is a money laundering front, what would they be?

On second thoughts I can see you might feel a loyalty to your hairdresser. I've been going to the same woman for over a decade and I do feel we have a rapport that prevents me looking for anywhere cheaper unless I had to.
That's a 'me feelings' thing though, not necessarily a logical decision.

You're a consumer making a choice between two businesses. If the barbers offers the same service for far less, it seems an easy one.
