AIBU to ask for a refund on this 'fix'

I had composite bonding done on my front 8 teeth and was really happy with the results. My main reason for having it done was to cover calcium stains. I didn't want to change the shape of my teeth.

Unfortunately, one of the bonded teeth developed a small chip, which I had repaired. A few weeks later, the remaining composite on that same tooth came off completely, so I returned to the same dentist to have it replaced.

Since the replacement, I'm really unhappy with the result and would love some honest opinions on whether I'm overreacting. I've attached photos of the current tooth, along with before and after photos for comparison. (Red arrow picture is my before)

I was told the replacement would be slightly less white than the original bonding, but the difference seems much more noticeable than I expected.
My main concerns are:

• The composite doesn't sit flush with my gumline and even catches when I floss.
• The colour and finish look patchy and uneven.
• It appears dull compared to my other teeth and almost looks like a dead tooth.
• The shape has been changed. it is more rounded and noticeably longer. My natural teeth are more square, and this tooth was originally shorter.
• The biting edge isn't straight and looks uneven.
• The back of the tooth doesn't feel polished like the others and feels rough enough that it could trap food.

I'd really appreciate any advice or opinions. Does this look acceptable for a replacement, or are these concerns reasonable. Can I expect a refund so I can go elsewhere?

The only thing that I would complain about is the colour - its nothing like the others and very noticeable. The difference in shape/biting edge etc you can barely see.

I think it's hard to picture how patchy it is and obviously can't picture the issue at the gum.

But sigh yes the colour is awful .

I would say you can’t really over react when it comes to teeth. No one else really inspects our teeth like we do ourselves so it’s up to you to decide if it looks or feels really wrong. Go back and say you want it redoing. They really shouldn’t charge.

I wouldn't be happy with the colour. Did they explain why it would be so much different?

That really is the wrong colour - somebody messed up. I would expect that to be replaced without charge, and with an apology.

I wouldn't be happy with that either OP. I would go back and ask what could be done. The colour difference is noticeable.

I Don't live where I originally had it done anymore, she said they did not have as white so would be a slight difference but there's nothing slight about it.
The new colour is not white and very dull in life, absolutely no shine to it.

Patchy, uneven and bumpy.
