AIBU to worry about breast tenderness and soreness at 9 weeks pregnant?

sore boobs during pregnancy. i can’t help but dive into a rabbit hole of thinking i have BC?
my boobs have been tender from very early stages of pregnancy i am 9 weeks pregnant now. I have laid down done a breast exam and could not feel any lumps or anything alarming apart from my breast fall under my arm pits and that area feels fuller and sore.. like the gland area? even if i catch it or touch it it makes me want to cry it hurts! (both sides)
i did a breast exam stood up and could not find any lumps, my nipples are veiny and look translucent because of how heavy my boobs are.
Iv always had dense lumpy boobs since being a teenager and i know whats normal and what isn’t but i did not expect my boobs to hurt like this?
not every day i have soreness/pain in them but i think iv just been prodding and rubbing so much it’s made them worse.
im now deep diving into google and worried something could be wrong😩
im 27yrs old, only history of bc in my family is my great grandma (my cousin thrown a orange at her boob which caused bc it was dormant in her and her nipple sunken in she lived with it for years💔) but 2 girls who i went to school with BOTH died of bc at 25yrs old?!! like wtf

i have booked in the doctors friday for another issue but i am getting them to look at my breast. i’m scared 💔

I think this is probably just due to pregnancy? Mine hurt like hell the whole way through the first trimester!

Its completely normal and just a classic sign of pregnancy.

Sore boobs is a bog standard very common pregnancy symptom, I wouldn’t worry

It’s a classic symptom of pregnancy. Mine settled once the umbilical chord took over and the hormones calmed down. Anywhere between 12-14 weeks.

Is this your first baby OP? Breasts go through a lot of changes in pregnancy. Breast tissue isn’t actually fully developed until you’ve been through a pregnancy.

Tenderness, soreness, looking veiny etc are all very normal changes during pregnancy.

I read quite a reassuring post from an oncologist recently that said tenderness is very very rarely a sign of breast cancer...soreness is almost always caused by hormones. The ones to watch out for are changes in nipple shape/orientation and of course lumps.

hey thanks for all your replies, i have suffered with health anxiety yes, past and present unfortunately.
i have been pregnant before 6 years ago but i dont recall my boobs ever being this sore.. i know every pregnancy is different.
I did a breast exam on myself and could not feel anything alarming or lumps, well i couldn’t feel anything different to normal breast tissue apart from that my glands are so swollen on both sides.. the heaviness ergh😩
even to lift my arms sometimes or press against the sides just kills.
iv been out with my mum today and got some new bras, like a crop top bra what i can sleep in because if they flop about in the night don’t i know about the next morning 😩😬

I am 5wks pregnant and feel your pain as I’m also experiencing very sore and tender breasts. However, as pp have stated, this is a very common pregnancy symptom and it’s due to hormones. I find it highly unlikely that you have BC. Unless you’ve other reasons to be concerned it’s BC, I would try not to focus on your worries about this right now.

You probably need to see the GP about your anxiety rather than your breasts (which sound completely normal). You're clearly more at risk of mental health issues during and after pregnancy than cancer.

P.s.. I recommend non wired bras. I currently have a lovely one from Boody which is very soft, supportive and I also wear it to bed.

yeah i have got some new bras today from asda they are not wired but really supportive.

im going to let my mum examine my breast as well tonight she is a nurse.

i will speak to GP on friday regarding my concerns and see what he says.

Your cousin did not cause breast cancer by chucking an orange at anybody.

Might be worth talking to the GP about anxiety whilst you're there on Friday, though. It's very possible that you didn't notice tenderness due to normal hormonal changes in a previous pregnancy because you weren't so anxious at the time.

thanks everyone for your advice, it’s just been a while since iv been pregnant and with how much my boobs have changed and felt it made me feel anxious and it doesn’t help when you hear stories but 🥲
