AIBU to start a thread about the positives of the summer holidays?

The last week or so there have been alot of threads about the summer holidays, how stressed people are, how they're struggling etc.

We all know that the summer holidays are stressful, chaotic, expensive and exhausting. I do not disagree. I have wanted to tell my kids to f* off numerous times over the last 12 days.

But, AIBU to think that we need to inject some positivity before we all go nuts?
I will start. Yeatetday, whilst watching my ds2 (7) playing on the beach with his cousin, ds1 (14) came and sat next to me and gave me a cuddle. Completely unprompted and in public!!!
This morning, my kids have decided that they actually dont hate each other and have chilled nicely together, meaning I have been able to hoover and mop all through the house, and I have an empty washing basket!! Its the little wins we need to celebrate.

Anyone else have anything positive to say about the summer? 🌞 😃

Mine are 13 & 15, I fully WFH, because there is nobody to chase out the door, I’m not having to get up for work until 8am, amazing!!

I’m loving it - they’re a little older now so don’t need constant supervision and I can sit and drink a hot cup of tea
