Over 50!!! MPs have accused Masha or being inappropriate as it's soft Russian propaganda.

Aibu to think that they clearly have too much time on their hands and ad someone who's likely watched far more of it than them, think they're being ott and ridiculous?

The fact this had to be debated in Parliament seems crazy!

I mean the kdi is a PITA Brat but she's hardly glorifying Russia!

The lawmakers allege the globally popular children’s show functions as a vehicle for pro-Russian propaganda. "

"The MPs point to an episode in which Masha is shown wearing what appears to be a tank-crew hat and Soviet-era uniform, and another in which she wears, according to the MPs, what appears to be a Soviet border guard’s cap, historically associated with the NKVD – the secret police agency of the Soviet Union. They say the agency was “responsible for mass deportations, executions and the persecution of tens of millions of people”.

"In April 2015, the show’s official social media account ran an ad, since deleted, featuring the character wearing the NKVD-style cap with the caption “Hey, I’m in the army now.”

Not sure if propaganda is the right term (maybe it is) but it isn't great.

My DS watched this regularly he has never shown any desire to join the red army so I think we’re good, FFS you’d think they had better things to discuss!

Are kids really going to look at it and think anything about a hat? It would be odd if they used the uniform of another nation. Should Chase from paw patrol be cancelled for a usa police hat?
