I am not in the UK but am watching. Just wondered if anyone else was or are the Games dying out?

I’ve only watched a couple of the events because my son is coaching the athletes

No 😄

In the uk its on Channel 5

Where they have the shows bashing people on universal credit, despite being primarily watched by people on universal credit 🤔

Just the worst channel. Its on for an hour a day, just highlights.

Cannot be arsed.

I’m just not ready for this abbreviation OP. It still belongs to discussions of communism, the USSR and linked groups/nations. But also, I’m not watching the Commonwealth Games as I’m currently in a country that doesn’t broadcast them.

Sorry. I'm Australian. We shorten everything. So they are the Comm Games to us. I'm wondering what the point of them is if nobody is watching?

I'm bloody furious that, in UK, they are not televising the Commonwealth Games on normal channels. I can pay to watch on an obscure channel, or see a 1 hour highlights programme at 2230 on Channel 5. It is dire! I usually have the games on in the background and sit and watch the exciting bits.
I think it is very poor that the BBC and ITV couldn't budget to show it - yet both showed the football World Cup final simultaneously! Outrageous!
