To think feeling like this before period is not normal?

I have recently started to feel unbearably tired before my period. In the two to three days leading up I have various symptoms but the main one recently is extreme tiredness. I can’t sleep well and then in the day I honestly feel I could sleep at any moment. I am 39. Ferritin 48 and b12 normal range.

I don’t know how I can do my job like this! He just had a nap in the middle of the day (working from home) but obviously that isn’t sustainable!!

Is it every single month? And definitely related to periods? Your ferritin is ‘normal’ according to NHS guidelines but it really should be above 75. Do you get restless legs or heart palpitations? Do you feel unusually breathless after exercise and what level is your B12? Again, NHS cut offs for ‘normal range’ are quite low so it needs to be optimum.
I supplemented my own iron and got ferritin levels from 34 up to 76 by taking ferrous sulfate (you need stronger ones than regular 14mg dose) as well as paying for B12 injections every couple of months and I have more energy now than I had in my 30s.

You ferritin levels are a little low. Within 'normal' range but 75-100 is better.
