To wonder how do nimbus cards work?

To wonder how the nimbus card works? Our local theatre gives a very significant saving off standard stalls prices and early access to booking. Would a young person who can, for example, travel independently, walk to school, take part in usual extra curricular activities with friends qualify for one if they have an ADHD or autism diagnosis? Or do you have to prove that they actually can't travel independently or go to the cinema with friends etc? So they can only access such activities with a carer. How would you actually prove that?

DLA/PIP probably.

I’m sure I had to prove my child received a disability related benefit.

Applicants have to send evidence such as DLA/PIP/EHCP. Nimbus decide which codes to allow.

I have a big issue with Nimbus. The people running it are a group of disabled people. I feel that they are not qualified to judge the reasonable adjustments other disabled people need just because they have disabilities. I also feel that organisations are shirking their duties under the Equalities Act 2010 to offer reasonable adjustments by deferring to a scheme.

Having said that, my young adult children all have the symbols they need because their documentation was really clear.
