Renew driving licence

I am trying to renew my driving licence and have successfully registered with the Gov.One website. But every time I log in to renew my licence it says there is an error.

Sometimes I can get past the log in page and see my vehicles etc but as soon as I click renew licence, it gives me an error message. Other times, I can’t even log in.

Has anyone else had this issue and can resolve it? I contacted the DVLA and they just told me to clear cookies and and try again or use the postal method.

I had to go to the post office because it wouldn't recognise, at the time, brand new passport.
3 years later I'm still mortified at the horrendous picture the woman took 😂

I got a bit further than you but couldn’t get it to accept my passport photo. I also then had my photo taken at the post office. Then I got a message to log on again to see the current status and it took me right back to the beginning of the process.

So I’ve picked up the forms from the post office and am going to use the passport photo machine at Morrisons tomorrow.

Will it let you do anything else like request a replacement licence for a lost one? It's an annoying site. I had some trouble with it but googled and in my case there was some useful advice on Reddit. The new one did turn up very quickly once I got it to work.
