Such variance in temperature in weather apps

I am sick and fed up with variance of temperatures forecasted on the various weather apps. Thursday where I live varies from 23c - 29c.

Being asthmatic, I want it to be the lower end. Plus if you have dog(s) there is a massive difference between 23c and 29c in what you do with them.

I want this hot weather to end soon. I can’t cope with the high humidity

I agree there is a massive variance im online friends with "Midlands Storm Chasers" her nane is vicky she is qualified in weather and even she is struggling to predict in advance we went from no rain forecast to (much needed) puddles this morning the weather has gone crazy

I agree, I know it's difficult to predict these things but some seem to go with the worse case scenario and then update as it gets closer.
I used to follow Vicky but found she was far too dramatic 🙄.
Over the years I have found Met office to be the most accurate overall.
XC weather is actually the most easy to read and look at as an app, shame it's not as accurate.

Oh and not sure where you're based but my apps show Weds as 29c - 36c Thursday is more accurate as 26/27c

I do cut the forecasts a bit of slack - I watch the Met Office on YouTube and many of the forecasts for more than a day in advance tend to start with "it depends...." All that butterfly-effect stuff.

Weather prediction isn't an exact science and tiny changes in the modelling will lead to big differences in the predicted temperature.

You have to expect it to be around the predicted temperature not exactly that. If they say 25 C they can only mean it will be between 22 and 27 C.

I’m sorry, it sounds hard to deal with having asthma and dogs. But it’s not that easy to accurately forecast the weather! It’s genuinely uncertain and lots of things could easily change. They’re all trying to predict it as best they can, but it’s not an exact science, they’re not magicians.

Best I can suggest is keeping an eye on all the better apps, watching for how changeable they are - the more changeable, the more uncertain the forecast. You’ve got to try to prepare for a range out outcomes.

Surely you know how the weather changes in your local area though?
Within a 5 mile radius I know a couple of micro climates. We do have the South Downs and the coast though. Maybe not so easy to tell if it’s flat and inland.
