Horror films for a 12 year old

Do you have horror films that you think would be perfect for a 12 year old?
We watched World War Z and he loved it.
We did rule out 28 year later because of the themes.
Aibu to let my 12 year watch 15 horrors

I wouldn't.
But if you must then Stranger Things.

Blair Witch Project. It's so simple but so effective with the suspense!

Stephen King's the Mist I would also think is good. It's mainly a mystery but the people who go into the mist that suddenly turned up die.

When I was that age, I loved “The Sixth Sense.” Still do, actually – it’s too bad Shyamalan’s never again made anything nearly that good.

the craft or the birds are as close as i get to a horror film as an adult… on the subject of 28 years later, i saw the bit where the voiceover keeps saying “boots” and my skin crawled and my heart raced, my gran was the same and she used to watch horrors with my ghoul of a motherGrin

At that age my children loved anything spooky such as the woman in black and the others. Poltergeist is a classic as well.

Halloween might be a bit much, but I suppose it depends on how sensitive your 12-year-old is.

Jaws is a good one if creature features meet your definition of horror. Most other creature features would be OK too (Deep Blue Sea, Rogue, The Meg, etc)

The Boy and The Boy 2 should be fine. And possibly Mama.

My 11 year old and i binged watched Stranger Things, but I know a lot of younger kids have watched it, it’s so popular. Not sure about a 15 film though. My 13 year old watched the woman in black at school and hated it! Depends on the child and how sensitive they are I guess.
