Hi,
My DD who is two diagnosed with CMPA as a baby. Tried the milk ladder at one and she started getting eczema and reflux symptoms and would get tummy aches.
Tried again at 1.5 and she would still get reflux type symptoms and an upset stomach and eczema
Tried again at 2 and she had reflux, loose stools but no eczema.
She will be 3 in November - my question is, do I need to consistently reintroduce dairy into her system so her body builds a tolerance to it and doesn’t see it as a threat or do I just keep trying at regular intervals and hope she doesn’t react.
We’ve been discharged from the dietician who in my opinion wasn’t that helpful anyway. Is waiting long intervals causing her body to never adapt and does she need small exposure regularly to learn to accept it or would that be trying to rush her body and I should just try again in a few months and take a break again if she doesn’t tolerate it?
Not sure if I’m making sense but I guess my question is, will she just outgrow it herself and accept it one day randomly or do I need to build tolerance in her system over time?
TIA
