To ask how to stop a wasp sting bloody hurting?!

I got stung by a wasp yesterday that crawled into my shirt on the bus. I had ice on it a lot yesterday but it’s still sore, it stings and it’s so itchy! It’s right on my bra strap so it’s getting irritated all the time. I’ve had a plaster covering it for most of the day, but I now seem to be having a reaction to that too! I’ve taken anti histamines

Have you used bite and sting cream and oral antihistamines together. I find that works well.

Vinegar! Ice packs and ibuprofen.

Not sure if it would work on wasp stings but on regular insect bites I use neat lavender oil (mines from absolute aromas) it takes the soreness out and helps super fast healing. Just got a bite on Monday and thought I’d try anthisan instead and it’s been a right red, sore, swollen mess! I’m back to lavender oil!!

Vinegar. Google something called a wasup. They are super handy to keep in your bag for just such an eventuality!

Vinegar for vasps.

Bicarb for bees.

Wasp stings are alkaline so you need to neutralise it with an acid like vinegar. Just soak a cotton bud in some and press it on your chest. Added bonus - you'll smell of chips...

Will the vinegar work now, two days on?

Vinegar. It neutralises wasp sting (doesn’t work for bees as their sting is acid as well)

Ibuprofen

I have a real sensitivity to Wasp Stings - not an allergy, but they do make me unwell. They hurt for days, whole area goes bright red & burning .. just horrible. I think unless you have that level of sensitivity, people don’t quite get it. The best thing I have found is ice, and really strong painkillers.

I have found that the only thing that really helps is an antihistamine cream.

Vinegar

Tobacco. Wet tobacco.

Heat can really help, just be careful not to burn yourself.

I had to go to a pharmacy with the same last week. They give me hydrocortisone and an anti histamine and told me to use cold compresses. It cleared up few days later.

i also got stung boarding a bus. I’m fuming now because i always believed that wasps don’t sting unless provoked.

I feel your pain.
I had a sting five weeks ago. I applied anthisan cream which helped, and because it was so itchy even a week after I ran the cold water tap over it for 5 mins several times a day. I've only just got rid of the red mark round the sting.

The wasp was in my top!!! I didn’t even notice it there, I have no clue how it got there but it was inside my top. It’s a right pain in the bum!

Germolene cream. It is antiseptic and also numbs. And anti histamine to also help bring down the reaction. I always find it really good.

Anti-histimines. The one-a-day ones. Take 2 though!
