Kids bounce back super quickly after having an appendicectomy, I’d be amazed if he’s not back to normal after a week or so. It certainly won’t ruin the rest of the school holidays! No evidence for avoiding activity so long as not causing pain, and can swim as soon as wounds are healed.

Wmids? Hasn't the poor kid been through enough?

The steam engine that goes from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. It’s not cheap but it’s also not expensive and you can bring your own food. There are a few stops all are really nice, there is also a museum along the line and Bridgnorth is really lovely. On the way you can also see the elephants in the safari park. It’s not adrenaline filled excitement but a nice day out and it fills a whole day.

It depends upon his age and interests. Severn Valley Railway. Hartlebury Castle. Droitwich Lido once healed a bit. Think Tank Birmingham. SeaLife Birmingham. Dudley Zoo. Black Country Museum. Stratford on Avon. Warwick Castle. One of the many National Trust sites. Wythall Transport Museum. Avoncroft Museum. The West Midlands is a big area so it also all depends on where you're based and how far you want to travel.

Presumably that's where they live 🙄

A went to Severn Valley Railway a couple of summers ago.
Best day out I've had in years.
(but I do love trains)

Cosford RAF museum.
